Island Hopping Mactan ( Pandanon, Nalusuan, Caohagan and Gilutungan )

It was another sunny sunday when me and my wife decided to join to our guest for an island hopping mactan. I decided to join so that I can write a blog from what I will experience.


Pandanon Island

Pandanon Island is almost near in bohol. The entrance fee is 150 per person and It has long and winding sandbar. The island is best for family outing specially fot the kids since the water here is not that deep.

Nalusuan Island

The beautiful island of Nalusuan will cost you 200 per head with free cottages. The current of the water here is not so strong allowing any guest to enjoy the beauty of underwater scenery. The island has also a marine sanctuary and kids will enjoy feeding them.

Caohagan Island

The entrance fee before was 70 per person and was changed last June 4, 2014. You need to pay now for 200 per head to get inside. The island has a small sandbar and it is famous for there wide variety of seafood's. I also heard from one of my boatman that they increase there price because of the opening of there marine sanctuary.

Hilutungan Island Marine Sanctuary

My favorite island near in mactan for the entrance fee of 100 per person. If you are a fun of snorkeling, free diving and underwater diving you will definitely enjoy the marine life below. Be extra carefull doing fish feeding in this place since the fishes here are 1-2feet big you might end losing your fingers. Last month of May 2014 Beuro Of Fisheries has a operation to remove a fish locally known as Pakol ( Hatchet or Trigger Fish ) since there where a lot of incident that tourist was bitten accidental because this fishes are aggressive once they lay eggs.

Note:

Boat rental and island hopping service fees depend on two main factors: the size of the pump boat and the islands that you plan to visit. It is best to go island hopping as a group so you can divide the rate among the members of your group.
